Matti Salo Quartetin toisella levyllä astutaan askel kauemmas Tetraktys-debyytin (Luova Records, 2019) abstraktista ja ajoin kaoottisestakin free jazz -ilmaisusta lähemmäs maailmanmusiikkia ja sisäistä rauhaa.

Matti Salon säveltämät kappaleet syntyivät Nepalissa matkaillessa. Suurimmaksi vaikuttimeksi Salo mainitsee Himalajan jatkuvan läheisyyden ja vuoren ikuiselta tuntuvan olemuksen.
"Sen näkeminen ja kokeminen aiheuttivat minulle mieletöntä kunnioitusta, nöyrtymistä ja pienuuden kokemusta", hän kuvailee.

Tämä levy on oodi rauhalle ja rukous sille ykseydelle, jonka voi löytää ihmisen sisältä ja joka pohjimmiltaan vallitsee ihmisten välillä ja kaikkeuden kanssa.

On their second album, Matti Salo Quartet are taking a step away from the abstract and at times chaotic free jazz of their debut Tetraktys (Luova Records, 2019), towards world music and inner peace.

Matti Salo composed the tracks while traveling in Nepal. He mentions the constant presence of Himalayas, the mountain's timeless appearance, as the greatest influence.
"Seeing and experiencing it brought me feelings of great respect, humbleness and smallness", Salo describes.

This record is an ode to peace and a prayer to the oneness to be found inside every human being and that fundamentally exists between all people, connecting us with each other and to everything that is.
